Fundamental: Learn how a vehicle operates and build a strong foundation in essential driving skills, including steering, braking, acclelerating, making turnds, and maintaining proper speed control.

Fundamental + Intermediate Skills. Student will develope confidence driving on 25mph to 30mph road while practices the 5 key DMV road test maneuvers: Straight-In Parking, Parking on Grade. Three-point turn, Straight-Line Backing, and  Quick Stop.

Fundamental + Intermediate Skills + Advanced Skills. Driving on 30mph to 50mph main road. Practice lanes changing, u-turns, curves.

Fundamental + Intermediate Skills + Advanced Skills.  Student will refine their driving abilities by applying safe and defensive driving techniques. This includes anticipating potential hazards, maintaining a safe following distance, adjusting speed appropriately, and staying fully aware of their surrounding-especially blind spots-to help prevent accidents.

Fundamental + Intermediate Skills + Advanced Skills+Highway Driving.  Safe and defensive driving involves anticipating potential hazards, maintaining a safe following distance, managing speed appropriately, and being aware of your surroundings, including blind spots, to prevent accidents.  

The first hour is a refresher which will cover everything you may be asked to do on the Road Test. The second hour you will be taken to the Test Center where you will take the Road Test. 

To prepare for driving on highways, practice safe merging, lane changes, and speed control, and familiarize yourself with highway signs and traffic patterns. Consider taking a highway driving lesson or refresher course with a certified instructor.  

Refresher driving lessons are optional lessons that existing drivers can take to improve their driving skills and re-gain some much-need confidence on the road. They can also be taken by those who have already had driving lessons in the past and need a quick primer before they take their practical test. 

This prep course provide structured learning and tips for passing the exam includes vehicle and equipment rules, traffic rules, and information about different types of vehicles. A drivers license prep course will get you ready faster than you could on your own. 

Driving simulator training can be more beneficial than non-driving simulator training (e.g., classroom, videos) because it can emulate difficult driving situations in safe and controlled environments before going on the road.  

Knowing traffic laws, speed limits, and road markings allows you to drive legally and predictably, reducing the risk of accidents.  

Being aware of weather conditions, road hazards (like potholes or debris), and other driver behaviors helps you make informed decisions and adjust your driving accordingly.  

Knowing how to respond to different situations: Understanding what to do in different situations, such as a tire blowout or a sudden stop, can help you react safely and prevent accidents.  

 All applicants must be employed by an approved school or must have submitted an application the STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY SAFETY AND MOTOR VEHICLES DIVISION OF MOTORIST SERVICES BUREAU OF MOTORIST COMPLIANCE to become a Commercial Driving School. 

(32-hour course is conducted in three eight-hour days (24 hours) with an additional eight hours of assigned homework. )

 This course is designed to refresh the instructor's knowledge of changes and updates in state statutes and rules as a CDL commercial driving school instructor.  Emphasis is also placed on knowledge, values, attitudes, and behavior in promoting safe driver instructions to the students.

(This 8-hour course is conducted in one eight hour day.)

 To become a certified commercial driving school instructor you must have no suspensions, revocations, cancellations, or disqualification on your record 3 years prior to the date of the application. 

 To maintain a commercial driving school instructor certification you must complete a state certified 8 hour refresher course every 5 years.  Once the class has been completed, you must send the class certificate to the FLHSMV.
